Republican Party congressional representatives have introduced the Tax Fairness for Americans Abroad Act of 2018, proposing to exempt non-resident American citizens from the worldwide citizenship-based US tax net. However, Bill HR7358 is unlikely to become law now that the Democrats control the legislative agenda in the House of Representatives.
