MIGRATION: EU Member States cannot tax departing citizen’s unrealized gains
In a preliminary ruling, the European Court of Justice has held that an EU Member State cannot impose an exit tax on the unrealized capital gains when he emigrates to Switzerland (Wachtler v Konstanz, ECJ C-581/17).
