Changes to Australia's superannuation laws mean that, from 1 April 2022, persons involved in post-separation legal disputes are now able to apply to the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia for information from the Australian Tax Office about their former partner's pension holdings. The effect is that pension assets can no longer be hidden during a divorce or separation property settlement.
