Both Bermuda and Singapore have announced significant changes to their investor residence programmes. As of 31 March 2023, Bermuda is to abolish the five-year waiting period between an investor obtaining an economic investment certificate and being allowed to apply for a residential certificate. It has also has widened the range of qualifying investments. Singapore is increasing the minimum business entity investment for its global investor permanent residence programme from SGD2.5 million to SGD10 million, as of 15 March 2023.
