Deadlines have been set for Cayman Island entities to submit their OECD Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and US Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) reports to the Cayman Islands Department for International Tax Cooperation for the reporting period of 2022. The first registration date is 30 April 2023. The department says it will consider appropriate compliance and enforcement action where misclassification and non-compliance (including failure to register) is discovered, including significant administrative penalties and fines.
