The Seychelles' Beneficial Ownership Act 2020 came into force on 28 August 2023, requiring resident agents to register their client legal persons and legal arrangements on the central database administered by the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU). The information on the register will not be publicly accessible. ＜登入＞The FIU has now launched an awareness campaign to encourage businesses to register, after which it will move towards enforcing the law, it said. In June 2023, the jurisdiction received a favourable follow-up report from the Financial Action Task Force, marking it largely compliant on FATF Recommendation 25 regarding transparency and beneficial ownership of legal arrangements.
