Some last-minute trust-related amendments have been made to the Cayman Islands' Beneficial Ownership Transparency (Legitimate Interest Access) Regulations 2024, which comes into force on 28 February 2025. The Act allows members of the public with a 'legitimate interest' to request disclosure of company beneficial ownership information held by the authorities, unless it is protected from public disclosure.
